ASP.NET, or Active Server Pages, was developed by Microsoft to create web pages and other web technologies. It is the next version of ASP, which is a programming structure that creates Web Applications. They are accessible on a global basis, which makes them highly efficient in information management. Third, execution becomes much faster because the web server saves the compiled version of the page the next time it is requested.
